4 Giant Ways Your Life Changes When You Find Your Purpose

While finding your life purpose may not be a panacea for all of your problems, there are four giant ways that your life changes when you find your purpose and start to live by it. These shifts can radically upgrade your life from just getting by to feeling like a super-star.

Finding your Life Purpose means that you feel good with the way that you are situated in the world and your actions in it have a sense of meaning to you. It does not mean that you have suddenly discovered that you are going to be the person to cure cancer (although that is a possibility). Our purpose is, more often than not, not one act or one career, but a greater sense that our inside self and our outer life are in alignment.

No matter who you are and how skeptical you might be that you have a life purpose, I can assure you, you have one. It may not be quite as you imagined it, but it is there. As you identify your life purpose and get more on track with living it you will see radical change in how you feel on a regular basis.

We get a lot closer to living our purpose when we stop thinking and start feeling. Step out of your head and stop trying to construct what your life purpose looks like. Instead, start feeling what feels good to you. These are the breadcrumbs that lead us to our purpose. The things that feel good to you are the components of your life purpose. As you claim them, little by little, your purpose begins to take shape. When it does you will notice the following seismic shifts in your life.

Ways your life changes when you find your purpose:

    1. More Engaged: When you find your purpose and start living it, you start feeling more engaged in your life. While some things may no longer interest you, the things that are in alignment with your purpose will become that much more dynamic. It will feel like you just woke up and there is a party going on that you didn’t even notice was there. If you used to wait to do things, you may find that you are now first in line. If you used to let others answer the questions, you may find yourself center stage with a host of answers.
    2. More Energy: As a result of living your life purpose you will feel much more energized. It will be easier to get up in the morning. You will find yourself looking forward to what you have to do and, at the end of the day, you will be less likely to crash yourself down in front of the TV or whatever numbing agent of choice you like to use. You will find that you have more energy to do more things in your area of interest. You will also be able to make more happen each day with seemingly less effort.
    3. More Opportunity: Living your life purpose shifts the way that you look at the world. Instead of it seeming like your goals are impossibly out of reach, you will begin to experience synchronicities that connect you with what you need to get the job done. As you continue to move in the direction of your life purpose, you may even start to see that the obstacles that you do encounter are more like markers that are guiding you in the right direction.
    4. More fulfillment: Even if you are living your life purpose, you will still notice that there are times that are challenging. The ups and downs of life do not go away just because you have started living your life purpose. However, you will notice that even when times are tough, you feel more satisfied overall with your life. When times are good, you will also benefit from a deeper, more fulfilling satisfaction than when you were not living your life purpose.

Think about what your life would be like if you felt fully engaged and energized, if you saw it as full of opportunity, and if you felt a deep sense of fulfillment, regardless of whether your day-to-day went well or not. The giant changes in the way you experience your life are worth cashing in on through a little investigation of your life purpose.

When You Find Your Purpose, What Happens?

In case you have been in doubt about whether it would be helpful to find and live your life purpose, I can tell you that when you find your purpose your life will fundamentally change for the better. And, while, your life purpose is often less esoteric and much simpler than you would expect, the effects of finding it are beyond profound.

JUST THE GOOD STUFF

Finding your life purpose makes it obviously clear what is important and what is less important to you. This will shift the way that you make decisions in your life. It can change who you feel motivated to associate yourself with and how you decide to spend your time. People who know their life purpose are not content with letting life just roll on by – they are motivated to be deliberate and create a life that honors their purpose.

Knowing your life purpose will turn you into a magnet for the things that support your life purpose. Often times, when we connect to our life purpose we no longer have to work as hard to create what we want to create. The alignment with our life purpose helps create an ease and flow of between our life and what we need to fulfill it.

When you find your purpose, you feel more confident and find focus. If before you felt that you needed to be good at things that it was unlikely you would ever excel at, your life purpose will make it very clear where your strengths lie. Understanding and claiming your strengths will leave you exuding high levels of personal confidence.

ALL ABOUT YOU

Another way to talk about life purpose is to say that it is a distilled and refined expression of who you truly are. There are lots of reasons people go looking for their life purpose, but when we are motivated by this refined expression, the results can be quite phenomenal – they can be life changing.

Finding your life purpose can help you know yourself better. We learn about ourselves both through reflection and action. As we start to live our life purpose, we perceive the process of living differently and it helps us understand more about who we are. The steps and actions we take become mirrors for seeing even more of who we truly are.

When we know and live our life purpose we are happier. Life is more meaningful and enjoyable. What may have seemed like the humdrum day becomes a powerful tool for bringing more of who we are into the world. This contributes to a sense of wellbeing that we do not have without our life purpose.

Why is Finding Your Purpose So Important?

Ever wonder, “Why is finding your purpose so important?” It seems like it requires a lot of effort (all that personal development work ), time (all those hours spent doing that personal development work), and even money (you probably pay someone to guide you in your work). So, is it worth it?

Well, yes.

There are two ways to go through life: We can strive to be conscious of our purpose and pursue it, or we can leave that call unanswered. When we choose to be more conscious, we live the same peaks and valleys of life as everyone else, but we experience them differently. The peaks and valleys in the life of a conscious person inform them, strengthen them, and ultimately lead them to greater well being.

If we live an unconscious life, without purpose, life just happens to us.

“Finding your Life Purpose means that you feel good with the way that you are situated in the world and your actions in it have a sense of meaning to you. It does not mean that you have suddenly discovered that you are going to be the person to cure cancer (although that is a possibility). Why is finding your purpose so Important? Here are 7 Reasons Why:

1. Meaning: Finding your life purpose creates a sense of meaning in your life. You know what you love to do, what you are good at, and how you can contribute to the world.

2. Place: Finding a sense of meaning to life gives you a sense of place. When you have found your purpose, it is easier to know where you belong. You also gain an understanding of the environments and communities that you benefit from connecting with.

3. Choice: When you know your life purpose you are more easily able to exercise choice in each moment of your life. You know better whether a situation or person really fits in your life because you know why you are here and what you want to do.

4. Sense of self: Knowing your life purpose gives you a clearer sense of who you are. It is as if you have distilled your life down to its essence by connecting with your purpose.

5. Ease: Believe it or not, knowing your purpose makes life easier. You know what to pay attention to and what is less important. You spend less time and energy caught up on the things that don’t really have impact.

6. Positive Impact: Knowing your purpose allows you to have a much greater impact on the world. Your purpose allows you to have the most profound impact – but only if you actually live it. Find your purpose and help contribute to a better world.

7. Confidence: When you know your life purpose you are more confident. You know that you are here for a reason and that your contribution counts. Be confident in the knowledge that we ALL have a purpose, whether we have found it yet or not.

5 Steps for How to Find Your Inner Truth

If you are craving more meaning and a deeper sense of connection in your life, you will be aided by learning how to find your inner truth. Your inner truth is the part of you that knows what you truly need. It is the part of you that holds the deepest expression of who you are and is unconcerned with your personal egoic needs. While we talk about “how to find your inner truth,” your truth is never truly lost. More so, it is disconnected. When we talk about how to find your inner truth, we are talking about how to look and move within yourself and reconnect with that core source of you. Here are five steps to get you started:

How to Find Your Inner Truth: 5 Steps

Notice how you feel: One of the most important indicators of your inner truth is how you feel. How you feel helps you know what is true for you, what you are drawn to, and what decisions to make. To do this you need to know the difference between different types of emotion. Many people live in connection with their reactive emotions. These emotions are predominantly the result of prior experiences. While they inform us, they do not necessarily help with clarifying our inner truth. However once we clear these emotions, we get access to a deeper level of feeling that can help us know when and how to act as well as what is right for us.

Notice your affinities: Our deeper feelings help us see where there is resonance and alignment. Resonance and alignment help us see our affinities –what is it we truly like, love, and want in our lives. This builds off the concept that like attracts like. Who we are is also what we seek. We learn and grow in both knowing and living our own inner truth by recognizing where we have affinities and taking action to strengthen those relationships.

Express yourself: Keeping our truth to ourselves blocks us from knowing it more and being able to refine it. Conversely learning to express ourselves in the myriad of ways that life allows helps us know and develop our inner truth. Sometimes, as a result of the expression, we come up against opposition. This opposition serves as a further refinement of our inner truth. It helps us get even more clear about what we are all about and how we want to bring that to the world.

Listen to your heart: Whether you are noticing your emotions, your affinities, or the feedback to your personal expression, your heart is your guide to how to find your inner truth. The way your heart opens, closes, and feels helps you understand, in the most intimate way possible, what is true for you. When in doubt, tune into your heart and – no matter how far you have strayed – it will lead you back to what is most true for you.

Risk getting it wrong: There is no way to go through this process and get it right every time. Living your inner truth requires the humility to get it wrong and to try again. It is through this process – and only with this process – that we can truly uncover our own inner truth and learn to live it through the world. So, fail beautifully! And then do it again and again, and before you know it wonderful things will emerge.

9 Steps For How to Find Your Purpose In Life and Achieve It

If you’re wondering how to find your purpose in life and achieve it, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Whether you’ve struggled with this question before or are just embracing it for the first time, it can be daunting to get started on the path of development. The tips below will support you in your personal journey. You can also check out my article “What Nobody Tells You About Finding Your Purpose.” Regardless of where you are in the process, these nine steps will help you get on track and stay there.

1. Uncover: It is challenging to uncover our life purpose when it is buried under unresolved past issues. This junk of the past can conceal our motives for our current interests and actions, making it hard to tell which direction to even face when starting down the path towards our purpose. The first step of finding your life purpose is working through the personal emotional baggage and false beliefs that were developed prior to this stage in your life.

2. Discover: After you begin to resolve the past, who you really are begins to emerge more clearly. You begin to notice more of your strengths and natural inclinations, and spend less time getting caught up in the stories of your. Although you have been there all this time, this phase of finding your purpose can feel like a stage of discovery.

3. Strengthen: Once you have made contact with your deeper self it is time to build and strengthen that self. This step includes both continued self-discovery work and letting go of any unresolved business from the past. It is a good time to nurture the skills and traits that are associated with your true self.

4. Pretend: You may or may not feel ready to step in more fully to your life purpose at this point in time. Let your imagination guide you. Try on different hats and approaches. Give yourself the opportunity to explore outside of whatever box you have been accustomed to.

5. Enjoy: Our joy helps to guide us to our true purpose in life. Pay attention to where your enthusiasm and your joy are. Identifying these reactions and what causes them will help you find your way to your life purpose. It will also help you stay on track with your purpose as you get further down the road.

6. Practice: Just because you are meant to do it does not mean that you know how to do every part of it. There are skills that need to be developed for you to achieve your purpose in life and take it to the next level. Learn what they are and begin to practice them in any way that you can.

7. Refine: It is very unlikely that you will be 100% clear and on track with your life purpose from the start. It is important to pay attention throughout your process. See where your energy levels and enjoyment go up and down. Notice where your natural talents shine. Make adjustments so that you are more on track.

8. Support: Manifesting your life purpose requires support. People who understand and believe in you are essential to your ability to find your purpose in life and achieve it. Pay attention to who supports you and who does not. If you do not have these people in your life already, begin to look for them. No dream is fulfilled in isolation.

9. Master: Keep learning and developing what you have now determined is your life purpose. Do not worry if it does not have a label. Allow yourself to focus on the many aspects of what you are undertaking and develop each of them to a whole new level of mastery. This advanced skill level will give you what you need to overcome new levels of challenge and reach new levels of personal fulfillment with your life purpose.
